Area comes from the spherical-excess formula on the WGS84 authalic sphere; lengths and angles are computed in the local plane, so the numbers match what you see on the map.
Sun position follows the NOAA algorithm. Irradiation on the tilted plane sums beam, diffuse and ground-reflected components (HDKR model) for every hour of the year; the tilt and azimuth with the highest yearly total win.
Row pitch is set so that a row does not shade the next one between 9:00 and 15:00 on the winter solstice. Shading from trees, buildings and surrounding terrain is not taken into account, and the terrain model has a step of about 90 m.
This is an estimate for an early decision, not a design: before building you need an on-site survey and a calculation in dedicated software.
